TD Newcrest analyst Creg Barnes raised his uranium price forecasts for 2011 through 2014, as well as in the longer term. He now expects the spot uranium price to average $75 US a pound in 2011, up 20 per cent from his earlier forecast. His long-term price, which starts in 2016, was raised to $70 a pound. Barnes raised his price target by $6 CAN $51 CAN a share and maintained a “buy” recommendation, reflecting his more bullish view on the uranium market.

Apple Inc. is still the darling of Wall Street and Main Street when it comes to technology and consumer electronics. While Dell Inc. gets rolling with it’s Streak tablet and while Hewlett-Packard Co. gets it’s Slate launched, a surprise showing of Steve Jobs is already getting the Fanboys ready for version two of the iPad. Now Apple gets to upsell it’s existing customers who have owned the iPad just a few short months. This is generating higher estimates from Wall Street research.
One such call this morning comes from Gabelli & Co. Gabelli sees the expanded base driving average revenue per user higher from $6.25 up to $6.45 for the second quarter alone. Based on shares around $352, a ‘private market value’ target was put at $555.00. This much higher than Wall Street’s consensus target from Thomson Reuters of $425.
While this is on top of what has already been a huge move, the price at yesterday’s close was only at about 7.5-times EBITDA and only about 10.8-times Gabelli’s ex-cash earnings projections for 2012. Another driver for this call was strong shipments of the CDMA iPhone with shipments being revised higher fro. 12.3 million units to 13.6 million units.

Le cabinet d'études Gartner a déclaré aujourd'hui avoir revu à la baisse sa prévision de croissance des ventes d'ordinateurs personnels pour 2011 et 2012 en raison de l'essor du marché des tablettes numériques, préférées aux PC par un nombre grandissant de consommateurs.
Pour l'année en cours, Gartner table désormais sur une croissance du marché mondial des ordinateurs de 10,5% contre 16,9% dans sa précédente projection.
"Nous nous attendons à ce que l'engouement des consommateurs pour les alternatives aux PC mobiles, comme l'iPad et les autres tablettes numériques, pèse considérablement sur les ventes d'ordinateurs portables, en particulier sur les marchés matures", a expliqué George Shiffler, directeur de recherche chez Gartner.

La montée du pétrole en 2006, 2007 pour toucher le 4 juillet 2008 145 $ avait mis des idées dans la tête du monde que la solution " pour le future " allait être l'Éthanol et les bio-carburants....À voir évoluer les stocks comme PEIX, BIOF et SYNM dernièrement prouve que le secteur est est mort...c'est DULL à mourir !

Il y a peut-être CZZ Cosan qui peut être intéressant car la compagnie profite des lois favorables au Brésil.

La récente flambée des cours du pétrole ne devrait pas avoir d'impact important sur l'économie américaine mais pourrait si elle persiste atténuer la croissance et augmenter l'inflation, a estimé mardi le président de la Réserve fédérale.
Ben Bernanke, qui s'exprimait devant la commission bancaire du Sénat, a jugé que la reprise économique américaine semblait de plus en plus ""auto-entretenue "" (?)
"Nous voyons des raisons d'être optimistes concernant le marché du travail dans les quelques trimestres à venir", a-t-il souligné.
Les embauches semblent s'accélérer, mais pas encore à un rythme suffisant pour faire baisser le chômage.
