- China produced 55.06 million tons of pig iron in July, up 17.3% from a year ago. Monthly crude steel output hit a record low of 59.3 million tons in July despite the volume up 15.5% year on year, according to National Bureau of Statistics.
– China's soybean imports declined 5.5% year on year to 29.06 million tons in the first seven months, according to customs figures.
– China's iron ore imports rose 7.9% year on year to 388.63 million tons in the first seven months, according to customs figures.
– China's crude oil imports rose 6.3% year on year to 145.64 million tons in the first seven months, according to customs figures.
– China's refined oil imports rose 13.1% year on year to 24.1 million tons in the first seven months, according to customs figures.
– China produced 17.3 million tons of crude oil in July, or 4.09 million barrels a day, up 0.4% year on year and down 2.4% from the previous month, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Natural gas output was up 10% year on year to 8.37 billion m3 in July.
