61.com, a Shanghai-based site dedicated to online recreation for children, will have an IPO on the NASDAQ by Q2 2011, said people with knowledge of the issue. It has started making money from the users who pay ¥10 ( 1.50$ can ) per month to buy virtual pets, said the source. No financial details have been ever made public. The website claims to have 180 million registered users including up to 50 million active users. It has so far received $6 million in venture capital funding since 2007.
