QKL Stores Inc (NASDAQ: QKLS), a leading regional supermarket chain in northeastern China, has opened its 46th new hypermarket. It is in Jilin province.
China Nutrifruit Group Ltd (NYSE: CNGL), a leading Chinese producer of premium specialty fruit based products, said it has signed a contract to supply 1,500 tons of its fruit concentrate products to Doehler Food and Beverage Ingredients (Rizhao)
China Wind Systems Inc (NASDAQ: CWS), a leading Chinese supplier of forged products and industrial equipment to the wind power and other industries, said it sold 35,014 shares of its common stock to Fernando Liu, its new CFO, at $3.57 per share for a total price of $125,000. The purchase price per share represents the market price on January 18, 2011, when the company and Mr Liu agreed upon the purchase.
China-Biotics Inc (NASDAQ: CHBT), a leading Chinese developer, manufacturer and distributor of probiotics products, said its preliminary unaudited Q3 FY 2011 revenues were between $32 million and $33 million compared with $23 million for the same period a year earlier.
Yanzhou Coal Mining Co (NYSE: YZC, SHA: 600188, HKG: 1171), a leading Chinese coal producer, said it would team up with its parent and a government-run oil company to form a business focused on chemicals, oil and coal. Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Corp, the joint venture with ¥5.4 billion in registered capital, will be 25% owned by Yanzhou Coal, 50% owned by Yankuang Group Corp, Yanzhou Mining's parent, and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group Corp.
