China numbers


China produced 118 million TVs, 246 million personal computers and 90 million digital cameras in 2010, all ranking first worldwide, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Online shopping receipts in China grew 29% quarter on quarter to ¥172.8 billion in Q4 2010, according to Analysys International. The total for the whole year was ¥520 billion, which included ¥104 billion in the B2C market segment.
Revenue of China's wireless music services grew 4.58% quarter on quarter to ¥7.41 billion in Q4 2010, according to Analysys International
The value of China's bilateral trade grew 43.9% year on year to $295 billion and trade surplus shrank 53.5% year on year to $6.45 billion in January, according to China Customs
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Civil Affairs have given the go-ahead to 90 rare earth miners and smelters to establish an industry association to better regulate the business.
